I am curious if anyone else has read a book by Ralph Albertson called "Fighting Without A War - An Account of Military Intervention in North Russia." It is a succinct and edifying account of his experience as soldier and observer during nearly the entire campaign. He states in the book, in fact, that he was logistical director of the American evacuation and the last American to leave North Russia. On this site, he is properly listed as "Albertson, R. Army Infantry 339th Company A." However, I do not see a reference for this book - heck, he's only listed as "R" rather than "Ralph!" So I guess I'm just wondering if anyone else is familiar with the book or knows any biographical info on Mr. Albertson. Thank you, Eric SchmidtComments

| Sorry,correction...He was a "YMCA secretary assigned to work with the army." I'm not sure what that means so perhaps it's not the same "R. Albertson." Well now I really need someone's help! | |
