My grandfather (Andrew Sadlocha) was one of Detroits own Polar Bears but I cant find a record of his name in the archives. Its their a digitized roster?

Thank you for your comments. We will be glad to add Andrew Sadlocha's name to the roster, but we need some kind of proof of his military service in Russia. Photocopies of your grandfather's military records will be enough. Olga Virakhovskaya, Bentley Historical Library

I checked a transcription of a roster from the 1928 Polar Bear Reunion (3,510 names) and "Andrew Sadlocha" does not appear there, either. Do you have any information at all about hs military service, such as which Company he served in, whether he was in the 339th Infantry, 310th Engineers, 337th Field Hospital/Ambulance Co., etc.? Have you tried getting a copy of his military records from the government? Go to National Personnel Records Center, Military Personnel Records (NPRC-MPR) for information on how to request his records. Mike Grobbel Polar Bear Memorial Association
