Why Create an Account?

Creating an account gives you many different benefits, including the ability to personalize your visit to the Polar Bear digital collections site. Only registered users will be able to post comments on collections or items and respond to other users' comments. As a registered user, you will also be able to create and manage bookmarks of collections and items that you would like to save. Optionally, account holders can write brief statements about themselves. We will soon allow registered users to customize the look of their website by choosing among several features to display in the left-hand navigation bar.
